Rotary club installs polio awareness billboard
Rotary Club of Dhaka Fort yesterday installed a billboard to raise awareness on eliminating polio from the country and planted 100 trees at Institute of Child and Mother Health, Matuail in the capital.
Dist 3280 Governor Dr Ishtiaque A Zaman inaugurated the programme while RC Dhaka Fort President Swapan Kumar Roy chaired the opening ceremony.
Dr Ishtiaque said the programme would help bring peace and happiness to the community and uphold the rotary slogan “peace through service”, says a press release.
District Secretary Capt Md Khaliquzzaman, Coordinator Faridul Alam Newton and Assistant Governor and Rotarian of RC Dhaka Fort Mutasim Billah Faruqui were present on the occasion.
