Old woman run over by train
An elderly woman was crushed under the wheels of a train at Sundarpur village in Kotchandpur upazila on Friday evening.
The deceased was identified as Lal Banu, 70, daughter of late Raj Ali Sardar of the village.
Kaliganj Mobarakganj Rail Station Master Monirul Islam said a Khulna-bound train, Chirta Express, ran the woman over while she was crossing the railway tracks in the area around 7:00pm.
A case was filed with Kaliganj Police Station.
