Reception to 4 language heroes in Pabna
A reception was accorded to four renowned language heroes of the district at Pabna Annada Gobinda Public Library auditorium yesterday.
They are Aminul Islam Badsha, Mahbubur Rahman, Lutfar Rahman and Raushan Jan Chowdhury. Three of the language heroes already passed away. Their family members took crests at the function.
Benevolent Foundation, a development organization and Nilmon Gallery, a research organization jointly organized the reception for the first time in history of Pabna to pay homage to the language heroes.
Freedom fighter Md Baby Islam and president of Pabna Diabetic Association chaired the function.
Speakers stressed on preservation of true history of language movement and liberation war of Bangladesh for greater interest of the nation.
Among others, veteran politician and former lawmaker Advocate Golam Hasnayan, Advocate Amjad Hossain, language veteran Ranesh Moitro, columnist Rashid Haidar, president of Pabna Bar Association Advocate Jahir Ali Kaderi, elderly journalist Anwarul Haque, president of Pabna Pres Club Rumi Khondokar, Principal of Government Bulbul College Shibjit Nag addressed.
