Fertilizer Smuggling
BNP leader held
Joint forces arrested a BNP leader here on charge of fertilizer smuggling from Chandpur to Burma through secret river routes Thursday afternoon.
Arrested Abdul Aziz Miaji,45, used to smuggle fertilizer outside the country regularly in guise of a rod cement trader at Strand Road here.
By fertilizer smuggling, he became a millionaire within last five years. Later, he was handed him over to Detective Branch (DB) police for interrogation, police said.
