The Country's Union Information Service Centers (UISCs) established in 4516 unions are set to make first ever hassle-free online registration for the jobseekers to Malaysia. The online registration for Dhaka and Barisal divisions will begin today to select 10,000 workers for recruitment for Malaysian plantation sector. Their names will be selected through a lottery. An official at the ministry of expatriate welfare and overseas employment said the registration in Rajshahi, Rangpur and Sylhet divisions will be held between January 16 and 18 and Chittagong and Khulna divisions between January 19 and 21. Access to Information (A2I) Programme of Prime Minister's Office will coordinate the registration process of UISCs, which would enable the jobseekers living in rural areas to obtain quick registration at a cost of Tk 50 each. "All preparations have been completed and we are ready to provide online registration through country's 4000 of 4516 UISCs set up in unions so far," said People's Perspective Specialist of A2I Programme Naimuzzaman Mukta. The rest 516 UISCs are not equipped properly but jobseekers in those areas could register their names at neighbouring UISCs, he said. A call center and a control room have been set up at Prime Minister's Office (PMO) to ensure a hassle-free registration for the jobseekers, he said.
