Two arrested with fake notes
Detective Branch of Sylhet Metropolitan Police arrested two people with counterfeit notes worth Tk 1 lakh in Srirampur bypass area in Sylhet yesterday afternoon.
The arrestees are Rumman Ahmed, 21, of Barokut village, and Mizan Ahmed, 25, of Golapganj upazila, of Sylhet.
Rezaul Karim, deputy commissioner of SMP, said acting on a tip-off, the team held them with 100 fake notes of Tk 1000 at a filling station in the area near Moglabazar Police Station.
A case is about to be filed in this connection.
