11 Jibon Bima staff sued
Eleven staff, including the manager of Sylhet regional office of state-run Jibon Bima Corporation, were sued on charge of misappropriating Tk 13.58 crore.
Mostafa Sarwar Bhuiyan, JBC in-charge of Sylhet regional office, filed the case with Kotwali police on Sunday after a departmental enquiry.
The case was sent to the Anti-Corruption Commission yesterday for investigation, said Ataur Rahman, OC of the police station.
The staff are Manager Abdul Latif Chowdhury, deputy managers Sohail Ahmed, Md Gias Uddin and Zabidul Islam, junior officers Md Firoze Alam and Rabiul Islam, upper division clerks Wahidur Rahman and Ahmed Ullah, and lower division clerks Dilwar Hossain, Amirul Islam and Nurul Islam.
