Make Bangla a UN language
Now every year 'Ekushey February' or 21st February is being celebrated as the 'International Mother Language Day' all over the world under the auspices of the United Nations. This is a great honour for our nation and homage to our Language Martyrs.
It is the appropriate time for the United Nations to adopt Bangla as one of its official languages. We would like to sincerely call upon the UN Secretary General to please take the necessary steps towards recognising Bangla as one of the UN's official languages.
