Railway crossings or death traps?
I was reading the report on the train-bus accident at Tangail. When I was in Bangladesh five years back and saw many level crossings on the newly built train line, I was totally disappointed to see some unsafe crossings in Dhaka -Tangail route. These are not accidents but planned killing by the builders of the Dhaka -Jamuna bridge railway track. Who was in charge of this death trap designing?
It does not cost fortune to have two level crossings and these could be built easily and safely. It is so sad that planners of the country are not concerned about the safety of people. A few people's failure will cost the lives of so many today and in the days to come.
Just visit India and see how the planners are doing their job perfectly well.
It is not acceptable. Death traps in so many spots of the railway line make me feel worried when I think of my dear country from abroad.
