It is an established truth that without women's participation national development cannot be expedited. Every year we observe May Day in a befitting manner. We hold meetings and seminars, but that don't change the lot of the common people. University teachers, NGO representatives and human rights activists are seen in these seminars. But the ground situation remains unchanged. We have failed to ensure equal rights of women. Women workers are still discriminated against.
