Outlaw held in Jhenidah
Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) yesterday arrested a regional leader of the outlawed Gono Mukti Fauj at Pira Gati village in Shailkupa upazila here, police said.
Acting on a tip-off, a Rab team arrested Shahidul Islam alias Kapal Kata Shahid, son of Adar Ali of Lakhmandia village from Pira Gathi village where he was holding a meeting, Rab sources said.
When contacted, Shailkupa police station officer-in- charge (OC) Belal Uddin said Shahidul was sent to jail hajat. Shahidul is an accused in seven cases including two for murder, he said.
