Thai visa
Today (17-09-2008) I went to the office of VFS in Gulshan-1 with my application for tourist visa to visit Thailand but came to know that all visa seekers would have to make appointments over telephone in advance to apply for visa to visit Thailand which was not the norm two days before. I have tried for more than two hours during office hours to contact the office of IVLAC/VFS over phone numbers 8850636 and 8811071 to get an appointment but could not make it as both the phones displayed either busy or no connection symbol every time. So may be I will not get my appointment on time.
I would like to request the Honourable Government of Thailand through His Excellency the Ambassador of Thailand to Bangladesh to abolish the system of visa in advance and start the system of issuing visa on arrival at all Thai airports for Bangladeshi visitors to Thailand, like the Honourable Government of Malaysia is doing and thereby save the poor visitors to Thailand from the hands of the staff of VFS who cannot cope with the ever increasing number of visitors and as a result most visitors cannot visit Thailand on time and according to their necessity.
The Thai government should be considerate to another Asian nation and save the genuine tourists of Bangladesh from passing through a series of hassles to enter Thailand by abolishing the system of issuing visa in advance. An Asian brother should be sympathetic to another Asian brother.
