Undue favour

Md. Mofakhrul Islam Shah, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Agricultural Extension and Rural Development
To favour a student illegally is one kind of corruption. Every student should be judged on his or her performance, what he or she achieved in the exams or any other evaluating task. Of course judgment should not go over the essentials. Because of lacking true potential, the unduly favoured students fail to achieve the expected level of performance in their job or any other workplace deal. The teachers who favour certain students for any reason other than academic excellence actually encourage the dominance of the inefficient over the proficient. If the process continues, society as a whole will be adversely affected.
