RPO and BNP

The nation must have been shocked when Begum Zia and her party, soon after her release from the sub-jail, stubbornly rejected all the 12 provisions of the RPO without assigning any reason, while the AL accepted nearly all the provisions. What does she hope for- to take us back to those dreadful days prior to 1/11? Hasn't she learnt any lesson from the turmoil that she has been through? Maybe, all politicians in our country are like that. Instead of being sad, sorry and repentant, it seems Begum Zia is putting her and her party's interest above the national interest. It was our expectation that at least she would apologise to the nation for all her wrong doings. This would have consolidated her leadership. But let alone tendering an apology, she seems to have become more obstinate and is now trying to destabilise the country once again . Who doesn't know about her misrule and destruction of all institutions? Even a rickshaw-puller used to pass comments about her family's corruption. When the nation is looking forward to changes and good governance, she, by rejecting outright all the points, has caused frustration to the nation. I am sure the CTG by holding a nationwide referendum on the RPO can prove how wholeheartedly the common people have welcomed it. Khaleda has definitely proved her leadership quality and she can lead the nation. She does have a place in the hearts and minds of the people. But she must place national interest above everything else. We request her to take lessons from the past mistakes and she should take a fresh vow to do good to the nation only. She should sacrifice the rest of her life to serve the nation selflessly. We have to build a better world for our coming generations. All that we need is a selfless leader. It is most unfortunate that she has tarnished the image of her late husband who was so honest and dedicated to the nation! She should lead the nation to a respectable position. What does she crave for? She should establish good governance and examples for all to follow.
