67-member LDP unit formed in Mymensingh

A 67-member district unit of the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) has been formed at an Iftar party here. Advocate Joynal Abedin Zayadee has become its president while ATM Zahid Hasnat Bulbul and Shah Md. Reza became its secretary and organising secretary. The committee included nine vice-presidents, two joint secretaries and two joint organising secretaries. The Iftar party was held at the College Road residence of ATM Zahid Hasnat Bulbul in the town. The Iftar party was followed by a discussion held with Advocate Joynal Abedin Zayadee in the chair. Md Mubarak Hossain, joint secretary of LDP central body was present as chief guest while LDP central leaders Md Shafiqur Rahman Shaiq and Col (retd) Md ZM Babar were present as special guests. The leaders said the traditional politics has ruined the country as political leaders failed miserably to give anything for welfare of people. They opined for a basic change in the country's political arena. They promised to work together for betterment of people. 'We want to build a happy and prosperous Bangladesh in future', they hoped. In future, the total number of member will be raised to 101, meeting sources said.
