Voter listing in Sylhet starts October 4
The enumerators will start house-to-house visit for collecting voters' information in Sylhet City Corporation (SCC) areas on October 4 as the task will continue October 18.
Preparatory work including appointment of 884 enumerators and 181 supervisors has been complete, officials said. There will be 80 centres for registration of the voters in the 27 wards of SCC.
A three-day training of the selected enumerators and supervisors starts today while selection test for the computer operators for voter listing will begin tomorrow.
After completing their job by October 18, the enumerators will submit the lists to the supervisors.
Chief Election Commissioner ATM Shamsul Huda and Election Commissioner Sohul Hossain will attend a programme to start voters' registration with photos and NID in Sylhet city on October 20.
