Image of Durga damaged in Satkhira
Unidentified criminals damaged the image of Hindu Goddess Durga at the temple at village Mahajanpur under Kulla union in Assassuni upazila of the district on Tuesday night.
Police have been deployed at the temple after the incident.
On contact, Satkhira Superin-tendent of Police Mirza Abdullahel Baki said stern action will be taken against the culprits who will try to harm the existing communal harmony.
Precautionary measures have been taken ahead of the Durga Puja to avoid any untoward incident, he added.
