Back to the screen!
The vocal members of the said Samaj are back on TV screen again. Initially they would confine themselves to empowerment of local government, a good subject for long debate, and then gradually enter into the mainstream politics including the BDR carnage.
I am sorry to note with all respect to them that politics is a serious game, one should not try to play safe in this game, especially in Bangladesh. I want to remind them that one of the most vocal, well respected nationally and internationally, members of the caretaker government did actually mention with a heavy heart and realisation that whatever is said in the table talk or research work cannot always be implemented in the practical life or situation. His realization came very late, but the message is true and clear for the "Sushil Samaj' to remember.
It is very important to contain emotion in public service, especially when the emotion is increased many times by political provocation. Bangladesh is passing through this phase currently dealing with the BDR carnage. There is no shortcut to political power if democracy is to survive. We must admit that the people of the country are the supreme power and they own this country- not any political party or any organisation.
At this hour of critical national crisis everybody need to unite and avoid conflict of interest to identify the enemy and defeat them. This applies to the members of the "Shushil Samaj" as well. One thing they might kindly keep in mind is that their credential is not above partisan politics.
