Importing electricity
Bangladesh proposed to import electricity from Nepal, India and Bhutan. Does Nepal generate enough energy to meet its domestic consummation? My personal experience in Kathmandu does provide enough evidence that Nepal cannot export electricity. Kathmandu suffers from acute shortage of power supply, load shedding takes place for at least 8 hours a day even in winter.
It may not be the wisest statement from government based on such inadequate knowledge about its neighbours.
