Capital city Dhaka is surrounded by four rivers -- the Buriganga, Shitalakhya, Turag and Balu. Geographically, its location is unique in the world. But unfortunately these rivers are dying. Pollution around the capital has reached such a level that the water of the rivers cannot be purified anymore. The authorities concerned have to take necessary steps to save the rivers. Otherwise, we will soon face an unprecedented environmental disaster.
