The Nurses' Day is celebrated on the birthday of Florence Nightingale each year on 12 May. All the nursing institutes observe the day with utmost enthusiasm. With the passage of time, the nursing profession has developed a lot. How much do we know about the sacrifice made by Florence Nightingale "The Lady with the Lamp"? She was not only a pioneer of nursing profession but also a praiseworthy writer. Undoubtedly, nursing is a noble profession. But in our country, even today some people misinterpret this noble profession. This is our poor mindset. Unfortunately, there are many clinics where the salary of the nurses is very poor. However, there are also exceptional healthcare centres where the nurses get reasonably well paid. The demand for nurses from Bangladesh is increasing day by day. They have a huge opportunity to go abroad and prove their mettle.
