Blame game

Abrar, Ukilpara, Nilphamary
Normally, we blame others for any failure. If we ask the primary teachers, “Why do your students not do well in the exams?” They answer that the students' parents are illiterate, poor and they do not take care of their children. We have seen that a few students did achieve brilliant results in all the public examinations, though their parents were illiterate and even very poor. If we ask the same question to the secondary school teachers, they say that students have not learnt anything in primary schools. Students study for five years in the secondary schools. Five years, is it not sufficient time for a student to pass the SSC exams, even with insignificant learning at the primary level? If we ask the same question to the college and the university teachers, their answer will be the same, and they blame their predecessors for not performing their duties. Now the incumbent government blames the previous BNP-led government for the severe load shedding and power outages. They blame the BNP-led government not only for the failures in the power sector, but also in other sectors. The present government should not just blame the previous government, rather they should work honestly and sincerely for the welfare of the people.
