It is a matter of great satisfaction for the peace loving people around the world that Sri Lankan armed forces have proved their worth by defeating the LTTE. We support the territorial integrity of Sri Lanka.
The country with 73.8% Sinhalese, 13.9% Tamil, 7.2% Moors, 4.6% Indian Tamils & 0.5% others was saddled with unprecedented ethnic unrest, militancy for more than three decades. It has finally succeeded in ending the civil war.
We earnestly hope that our Saarc member country will prosper in the days ahead.
