Greenhouse Effect
Greenhouse gases are the components of the atmosphere that contribute to the Greenhouse Effect. The greenhouse gases are naturally occurring and include carbon dioxide, methane, water vapour, chlorofluorocarbons and other trace chemicals. But it is now known that man-made chemicals have caused a massive build-up of greenhouse gases in the earth's atmosphere.
The world is getting warmer. The increase in global warming is caused by increased amounts of carbon dioxide around the earth. Most experts believe that the Greenhouse Effect is the likely cause of global warming. Indeed, greenhouse gases are the contributors to Greenhouse Effect and the ultimate result is 'global warming' and due to global warming several other effects on the environment have been identified such as sea level rise.
The amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is increasing steadily. The issue has to be handled efficiently for the survival of mankind.
