Make parliament effective

Our honourable members of parliament are the voices of our nation. Parliament sessions are broadcast live. People have the right to know what they are doing for the nation. The speaker allocates a fixed time for every member for his or her speech. But they don't finish their speeches in time. They start their speeches by paying respects to their late leaders and present party leaders which takes a long time. It seems to me that it is one kind of competition among them to prove their “loyalty”. Sometimes they become aggressive without any reason. I don't understand why our respected members of parliament waste their valuable time. During the given time they should discuss the local and national issues which are related to people's welfare. That's why they are in parliament. I humbly request our honourable parliament members to forget traditional culture and use their valuable time in our national interest.
