Listed criminal arrested
Police arrested a listed criminal at Narayonpur under Bagha upazila of Rajshahi on Tuesday.
The arrestee, Tasiqul Islam of Panditpara village in Bagha upazila of Rajshahi, was accused in at least 16 cases and 11 general diaries (GD) filed with Bagha Police Station, mostly for toll collection, torture on women and criminal activities.
Earlier, Bagha police pressed charges against him in a drug case in 2006.
Police yesterday produced Tasiqul before court and court send him to jail, police said.
