A new, strong BGMEA, please!

W. Ali Badsha, Madaripur
The BGMEA has suspended the membership of five factories housed in Rana Plaza at Savar that collapsed last Wednesday. Probably it will also help the victims' families financially. But these are not enough. The authorities were informed earlier about the cracks but they did not take any step about sending an expert team to examine the condition of the building. We have seen that the BGMEA always tries to protect criminal factory owners. The government also could not play its role properly. The present biased BGMEA office-bearers should step down immediately from their position. We need a new, strong and active BGMEA.
