Ex-Indian president’s daughter Sharmishtha Mukherjee calls on PM Hasina

Sharmishtha Mukherjee, daughter of late Indian President Pranab Mukherjee, today (September 7, 2022) met Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina maintaining the long association between the two families.

The meeting took place at Hasina's suite in ITC Maurya Sheraton Hotel on Sardar Patel Marg in south west Delhi, reports our New Delhi correspondent.

Sharmishtha spent some time with Hasina who is into the second-last day of her four-day state visit to India.

"Called on Hon'ble Prime Minister of Bangladesh Her Excellency sheikh Hasina. Long association between the two families. She wud always say that my father was like a guardian 2 her family. Now in his absence, she is being the same for me. May God grant her a long & healthy life", Sharmishta said in a Twitter post.
