AL members should also be punished for killing, looting and raping. They committed all kinds of crimes but put Bangabandhu in the front. This fact is unknown to most of the new generation. I remember Bangabandhu saying, “I bring relief by begging from foreign countries but the sycophants swallow them.”

I would like to thank Mr. Badrul Ahsan for his bold write-up on the aftermath of Bangabandhu's assassination. Both the regimes following this heinous act were working at the behest of Pakistan… is obvious conclusion of this article. Ershad could have been brainwashed while he was interned in Pakistan. But what could have been the rationale behind Zia's role of distorting our history including denigrating the Father of the Nation by protecting the killers through Indemnity Ordinance and rewarding them with cushy diplomatic jobs?

As Mr. Badrul Ahsan mentions, full justice will be done when fugitives and cohorts are brought home from abroad and punished. What about the apparatchiks who are eating the pie within the party? Why does Mr. Badrul not mention that some of killers' accomplices are still in the Awami League enjoying the full blessing of Hasina?
