Case filed against 8 for abducting college student
A case was filed against eight people with Bhulli Police Station in Thakurgaon Sadar upazila today over the abduction of a 17-year-old college girl.
The victim's father filed the case accusing Raju Islam, 23, Rabiul Islam, 32, Abu Hamid, 31, Soleman Ali, 55, his brother Nazrul Munshi, 45, Rabik, 30, Sajib, 28, of Madarganj village and Akbar Ali, 60, of Begunbari village under the same upazila, reports our Thakurgaon correspondent quoting police.
According to the case statement, Raju Islam stalked the girl frequently on her way to college for a few months. As the girl didn't respond to his advances, he got furious and started disturbing her.
Finally he, along with the other accused, kidnapped the girl from her house on the dead of night on July 28.
As the family failed to rescue the girl, the victim's father filed the case today.
When contacted, Officer-in-Charge of Bhulli Police Station told The Daily Star that a case has been filed and police have started the investigation and were working to nab the accused and rescue the girl.
