Raihana Bashir no more

Raihana Bashir, wife of the late MR Bashir, passed away at 8:30am today. She was 84.

She completed her Master's in English from Dhaka University, and taught at Sunbeams and Green Herald School.

She was associated with Zonta, SAARC, and the United Nations Women’s Associations, and was involved in prolific social work.

She was laid to rest at Azimpur Graveyard following her namaz-e-janaza.

She is survived by her sons Aref and Shahed, daughter Sonia, daughter-in-law Sabah, son-in-law Ihtisham, grandchildren Ilhan and Sienna, granddaughter-in-law Ameena, and numerous relatives and well-wishers.
