Bangladeshi kaleidoscope
A day-long festival titled 'Bangladesh Folk Festival 2013' was held at a city centre on Recently with the aim of upholding the traditions, heritage and culture of the country to foreigners and locals alike.
The festival highlighted Bangladesh's allure as a popular tourist destination on the international stage by presenting the best of the nation's heritage to foreign nationals who are visiting the country as tourists or are staying here as working individuals.
The festival featured various innate slices of Bangladeshi culture such as a bioscope booth, paan and pitha stalls, baul music, traditional boats, puppet shows, and demonstrations on pot-making.
The festival, organised by the Bangladesh Tourism Board, saw a solid turnout with people visiting in droves throughout the day.
