Bangladesh's potential for hockey
Bangladesh has a potential hockey team who qualified in the second round of World Hockey League (WHL) after beating the super power China and won the Bronze medal in the last South Asian Games.
Yet the wheel of success of hockey is interrupted on a regular basis because of the mismanagement of the federation and the strike of the national team players. Low payment has forced them to call strike. Unavailability of sponsorship is hugely affecting this sport.
It needs to be mentioned that our players played in the world class German Hockey League. So it's high time we brought hockey in the limelight.
