Between the devil and the deep sea
Over the last two decades, we have seen a marked behavioural similarity in our rulers. The ruling party adopts hard-line policies, especially towards their main opponent. The opponent then takes to the street, calls hartal, and destroys public and private property. We heard that the opposition called off 19th May's hartal due to cyclone Mahasen, and one hartal was called off due to Rana Plaza disaster. Does this mean that when the next hartal is called, the long suffering people of Bangladesh should start praying for a major disaster?
