Divide the country into eight provinces? Mr. Ershad, have you seen how small Bangladesh really is? While dividing the country in provinces is a good idea, eight is too much.

Eight provinces and eight governors with local courts, administration, will not only decrease corruption but also increase economic activities. Obviously, there will be some negative consequences, but overall, the situation looks very rosy.

The High Court should issue a rule asking the building and garment owners to bear the cost of treatment of all the victims.

The Daily Star has been doing pretty well in keeping up with its journalistic responsibilities regarding this national tragedy of Bangladesh. I hope other media outlets will follow through and the nation as a whole will stay with the victims.

Why would Primark pay compensation for this? The government should be the one paying. Our country always runs in the most obnoxious way. And it's the irrationality of the common people and the media that makes the situation even worse.
