Man killed in his Mymensingh home; police launch investigation
A 35-year-old man was killed after miscreants broke into his home on Ramakrishna Mission Road in Mymensingh city this morning.
The deceased was identified as Rubel.
Mymensingh Police Superintendent Mohammad Kamrul Hassan said Rubel was at home around 11:30am when several unidentified men stormed in. They allegedly assaulted him with bamboo sticks before slitting his throat with a sharp weapon and fleeing the scene.
Hearing his screams, locals rushed to rescue Rubel and took him to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Police later recovered the body and sent it to the hospital morgue for autopsy.
The SP confirmed that police have visited the crime scene and launched an investigation to determine the motive and identify those involved. Two individuals have been detained for interrogation, though no case has yet been filed, added the SP.
