Dhaka-Narayanganj commuter train
Ever since the AL government came to power, it has been taking many steps to ease Dhaka's traffic congestion. The latest step was the introduction of the country's first ever commuter train on the Dhaka-Narayanganj route. Every day a large number of people come to Dhaka from neighbouring districts. This commuter train will save their time. Besides, the authorities concerned should make sure that the train is properly maintained. I urge the political parties not to call any more hartals because during hartals the picketers set fire to many vehicles, including trains. If they must call hartals, they should enforce it peacefully, not violently. And hartal enforcers should not destroy public property.
