Distressing traffic
Being a resident of Bashundhara for over a decade, I have been struggling hard to live through the ill-planned, ill-managed traffic system of this area. We endured immense hardship during the construction of Jamuna Park and the universities housed in the so-called residential area. A few days ago when there was heavy downpour in Dhaka, it took me sixty-five minutes to reach Jamuna Park from my residence -- a distance of less than half a kilometre! The planners of the traffic management are either daft or the people directing the flow of traffic have little experience in managing this horrendous traffic.
