Eid Shopping Spree
With Eid almost here, people crowd the markets to find gifts for their loved ones and now-in dresses. Retailers struggle during this time of the year to meet special demands. Punjabis in particular are in high demand. It is usually what men wear specially on Eid day. Women have more to buy -- saris, salwar kamijes and ornaments. Children's wear is also something that is sold in high numbers. The shopping isn't cheap. Many have complained of the prices being too steep. Many opt for shopping from stalls on the pavement. But with every day of Ramadan passing more and more shoppers get to the malls of the capital braving the horrendous traffic to choose and buy things for themselves or their loved ones, when the festival is only a few days away.
