Good initiative by Badhan
Badhan, a non-political voluntary blood donor organisation run by students, has celebrated Pahela Baishakh at Hakim Chattar in Dhaka University. The organisation served one thousand people with panta-ilish. Teachers, students, rickshaw-pullers, street children, beggars -- all were served in the same way. The marginal people of our society are deprived of basic human rights, let alone celebrating Pahela Baishakh. More such organisations should come forward to help these people lead a better life.
