Ziauddin Hyder named PM’s health aide with state minister status

Ziauddin Hyder has been appointed special assistant to the prime minister on health with the status of a state minister, according to a government gazette issued today.

A former senior official of the World Bank, Ziauddin is widely regarded as a seasoned health specialist with extensive experience in policy and development.

He has worked with several international organisations over the years, focusing on health systems, reform, and public health strategy.

Ziauddin also serves as an adviser to the BNP chairperson and was a member of the party’s central election steering committee.
