Govt. efforts to face Mahasen commendable

The government deserves appreciation for having taken timely measures to face cyclone Mahasen. The authorities had deployed more than 5000 army in the coastal areas to help the people evacuate the area and go to the cyclone shelters. We heaved a sigh of relief when the cyclone petered out with torrents of rain. Many lives and public property have been saved. If the government had not taken the precautionary steps, the situation would have been worse.
