Hold dialogue

Saifur Rahman, On e-mail
Our country is heading towards a political disaster because of the unresolved issue of election-time government. Though the present government is left with only six months, the issue of caretaker or interim government is yet to be resolved. There is no visible development in this regard, rather it seems that the situation is deteriorating day by day. The people of Bangladesh saw a flicker of hope when our PM expressed her eagerness for holding talks with the opposition. We thought that we were at the end of the political standoff. But soon we understood that it was not going to happen. There is no alternative to holding talks because we do not want to see another 1/11 type government.
