Points to ponder about RMG sector

This refers to the article titled “The bare minimum of RMG” (TDS on 16th May 2013). The article is very thought-provoking and the writer has gone in-depth regarding concerns of US, EU, ILO, which includes formation of trade unions, wage board, minimum wages, etc. In addition to the problems faced by manufacturers to pay the workers higher wage, other difficulties faced by the garment owners have also been voiced in that article.
I strongly urge the authorities to consider the suggestions made in that article and prepare an action plan to remove the problems in our RMG industry.
