Not as Equal as Others

While the streets regularly used by VIPs stay tip-top and neat and clean, a large number of city streets are in appalling condition owing to repair work, development work, and maintenance work by public and private service providers. That includes utilities. Such work leaves city life in utter disarray as debris piles up on the streets, now littered with trenches and construction material. Citizens' movements are delayed and conditions worsen whenever there is rain, making the streets slippery and muddy. Shallow puddles seem to be everywhere.
