All new BMW 5-series coming soon

The all new BMW 5 series is due to be launched this week via Executive Motors, the authorised dealers of BMW vehicles in the country.

The 5 series is a significant model in Bangladesh, Executive Motors having sold more units of the 5 series than any other model in BMW's range of executive sedans. Globally, the 5 is a best-selling, class leading luxury sedan, thanks to a winning formula of efficient design, effective powertrains and innovative technology.

For the latest G30 series 5er, BMW has stuck with the formula and updated and refreshed the specifics in typical German fashion.

Under the hood is a new 2 litre 4 cylinder motor utilising BMW Efficient Dynamics and Twin Power Turbo technology to develop 252 HP and 258 lb-ft of torque, sprinting to 100 km/h in just 6.2 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h.

Inside, expect the typical leather, brushed surfaces and some of the best tech and gadgets available in the mid-range luxury class. There's a whole host of driver assist systems, from heads-up displays to automated systems controlling everything from cooling to braking.

Outside, the new 5 series bridges the link between the 3 and 7 series, while incorporating more design features from BMW's flagship sedan. The M package has tons of visual aggression on offer, with particularly brilliant 5-spoke alloys and deep valances for the front bumper. There's 21 colours on offer, and a whole catalouge's worth of upgrades and options.
