Admission question leak: 3 doctors among 7 held in Rangpur

Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) has detained seven people including three doctors in Rangpur city for their alleged involvement in leaking out question papers of medical admission test.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of the elite force picked up them in a two-day drive from Monday in different parts of the city, Major Ashraf, company commander of Rab-13, told a press conference at its office this afternoon.

Three of the detainees -- Shariful Hasan Antu, Mostafizur Rahman Pavel and Jillur Rahman Rony – are physicians at the Rangpur Medical College Hospital (RMCH).

The other detainees were identified as Jamal Uddin, Atiqur Rahman Adil and Sajratul Yeamin Rana, teachers of A-One Coaching Centre, and Monjur Rahman, a director of Primate Medical Coaching Centre.

The MBBS 1st year admission test for the 2015-16 academic session was held at different centres across the country including the Rangpur city on Friday.
