Amateur golf championship inaugurated

The 30th Bangladesh Amateur Golf Championship was officially inaugurated at the Kurmitola Golf Club in Dhaka yesterday.
A total of 185 amateur golfers, including 148 from Bangladesh and 37 from Afghanistan, Bhutan, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Thailand are taking part in the four-day event, which will tee off today.
Sponsored by the Runner Group, the event is being organised jointly by Bangladesh Golf Federation and Kurmitola Golf Club.
