Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) once again instructed its employees to work from home due to the second wave of coronavirus across the globe. The BCB, keeping their employee's safety in mind, took the decision to instruct their employees to work from home for a week.

However, BCB will continue the ongoing individual training program of the national cricketers under special arrangements. The cricketers, coming from a break of almost five months, are now preparing for a return to cricket through the upcoming three-Test tour of Sri Lanka and are scheduled to travel there late September.

"Only essential officials will be allowed to come to the office. A roster has been prepared accordingly and it has been done as a part of overall safety and security measures. It however doesn't involve players and they will continue training. The week-long work from home policy has been set considering the overall health security measures," informed a BCB official requesting anonymity on Monday.

Followed by the requests from the cricketers and with the tour of Sri Lanka in mind, the board in July allowed the cricketers to use the facilities for individual practice sessions under special arrangements.

"We had planned that when we start the small group or team-wise practice after individual training sessions, we will not allow even groundsmen in the stadium. It has been done for the further safety and security of the players ahead of the next series," BCB's media committee chairman Jalal Younus told the media.
