First batch of U-19 players and staff test negative
All the 15 cricketers from the 45-member Bangladesh Under-19 squad selected for a residential camp along with twelve support staff, who were tested on Sunday, were found negative for coronavirus after the reports came today, confirmed the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).
The selectors had announced a 45-member Under-19 squad who will take part in a residential training camp from August 23 to September 18 with the BCB starting the coronavirus tests from Sunday.
The first batch of 15 cricketers, tested on Sunday, were all found negative for coronavirus. The second and third group of cricketers will do the test tomorrow and August 20 respectively.
"We have good news as all the 15 cricketers and twelve support staff were all found negative for coronavirus after we got the report today," confirmed BCB's game development manager MA Kayser.
The 15 cricketers along with the staff will join the residential camp in BKSP today. Any cricketer or staff who will test corona positive will be in isolation under the observation of the BCB medical team.
